Budgets
Default Budgets is a one-time template per category. Need one month to differ? Set Budgets edits just that month, without touching the default.
Recurring
Set a rule once — daily, weekly, monthly, or yearly — and choose whether it posts automatically or just reminds you ahead of time.
Reports
Overview, category breakdown, and month-over-month trends — Balance writes plain-language insights from your own numbers: top category, largest single expense, how spending moved, what's renewing.

Backup is off by default. Enable it and Balance writes a private snapshot to your own Drive's hidden app-data folder — invisible to any other app.

Balance is free to download, and the free version needs no subscription: transactions, accounts, and categories are unlimited, and it shows ads. An optional Premium plan — monthly, yearly, or a one-time lifetime purchase, with a 7-day free trial — removes ads and adds PDF report export.
Balance supports multi-currency tracking across 150+ currencies, with a currency set per account. When you log a transaction in a foreign currency, it saves the exchange rate in force at that exact time, so your long-term reports stay accurate as live rates move.
Yes. Balance is fully localized in Arabic and Urdu with native right-to-left (RTL) layout on Android — the whole interface is mirrored, not just the text. It also supports English, Spanish, Hindi, Portuguese, French, German, Indonesian, and Japanese.
